QIMMIT – CLASH OF TWO TRUTHS

Back in 2009 we did some additional camera work for Piksuk Media on the feature documentary called “Qimmit – Clash of two Truths”. Follow the below link to the National Film Board of Canada website to watch.

Mid-century, the sled dog population dropped from an estimated 20,000 to just a few hundred dogs. Many Inuit believe the dogs were deliberately killed by the RCMP as part of a government policy to force them off the land and into “civilization.” The RCMP denies there was any conscious policy on their part.

2011-2012 winter was a great season of travel, filming, and amazing people. We produced 7 episodes of On Edge which followed the Canadian Snowboard Team as they traveled the globe in search of gold and new adventures. Rider Media is proud to be filming a new reality series called ‘Make it Happen’ that will be airing across Canada with Shaw TV. Shaw is currently looking for people with a bucket list that want to be on TV. LAST TRIP TO EUROPE FOR THE SEASON

The 2012 snowboard season is slowly coming to an end but not without one more trip to Europe. The next 72 hours will certainly be a grind with all the travel. I am flying tonight from Calgary to London then connecting over to Munich. I will be meeting the rest of the Canadian Snowboard Team in Barcelona but not before picking up team gear and a rental van in Munich then driving 15 hours south to Barcelona airport for the meet. The first comp will be taking place in La Molina followed by trips over to Italy and Slovania then back to Spain. ON EDGE – EPISODE 5 – COMPETITIVENESS

Episode 5 of On Edge is now in post production. In this episode, the Canadian Team heads to Quebec for a training camp prior to taking the podium at a Nor-Am race in Le Relais. Once again we take the team out of the gates and into a high speed go cart race which proves to be equally as intense as the upcoming parallel slalom event. There is no down time when everything in life becomes a competition!
